In a spirit of collaboration and creativity, “أطفال الشارقة,” part of the Foundation for the Development of Leaders and Innovators, has launched a new initiative called “معاً للأسرة المبدعة.” This programme, which translates to “Together for the Creative Family,” aims to foster family bonds and instil positive values while enhancing children’s skills. The initiative kicked off on Thursday in Sharjah, with over 300 parents and 1,264 children participating in various interactive workshops and activities designed to run until November.
Engaging Activities for Families
The initiative began with an array of interactive workshops across the centres of “أطفال الشارقة,” bringing together children and their parents for shared creative experiences. Activities range from arts and theatre to sports, woodworking, cooking, and crafts, all designed to facilitate dialogue and communication. These engagements not only promote active participation in the child’s learning journey but also nurture a supportive environment for their growth.
Fostering Effective Partnerships
Khoulah Sharif Al-Huwai, Director of the Sharjah Children’s Foundation, emphasised the importance of establishing effective partnerships with families through this initiative. “The programme reflects our commitment to creating interactive experiences that bring parents and children together,” she stated. Al-Huwai highlighted the need for such opportunities, especially as the fast-paced nature of modern life often limits the quality time families can spend together. “We aimed to provide a setting where families can create meaningful memories through purposeful and creative experiences,” she added.
Building Stronger Family Connections
This initiative is expected to enhance family ties, support the emotional balance of children, and offer them a greater sense of security and belonging. By involving parents in the learning and creative processes, “معاً للأسرة المبدعة” seeks to build a stronger foundation for future generations, instilling core values that will benefit children throughout their lives.
As the programme develops over the coming months, the collaboration between families and the “أطفال الشارقة” centres promises to make a significant impact on the community, fostering a culture of creativity and togetherness.
