Integration of Media Entities
The establishment of the largest unified government media cluster in the UAE will consolidate various media organizations, including the Sharjah Media Council, the Sharjah Government Media Office, and the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority. This comprehensive integration will enhance collaboration and resource-sharing among these entities, facilitating more streamlined communication and production processes. The Sharjah Media City, or “Shams,” will serve as the new headquarters for this unified cluster, promoting a cohesive working environment.

Integral to this project are the new “Shams Studios,” designed to foster a state-of-the-art production environment. This facility will feature five large studios, ranging from 1,500 to 3,400 square meters, catering to filmmakers, series producers, and content creators. In addition, specialized post-production facilities—equipped with editing units, visual effects, and sound design—will ensure that TV and film projects meet the highest global standards.

The initiatives also focus on enhancing the overall media ecosystem with the establishment of a comprehensive government media business complex. This will feature four specialized buildings, each housing key media organizations and companies operating within Shams—a design that promotes an interactive workspace that stimulates innovation. Furthermore, a new building for the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority will incorporate modern technological frameworks to elevate its broadcasting capabilities and diversify its content offerings.
In support of the cultural and creative landscape in Sharjah, the new projects will include “Shams Creativity Oasis,” a modern venue for arts and educational events. With a theater accommodating 700 people and facilities designed for community activities, artistic performances, and training programs, this center aims to nurture young talents and provide inspiring platforms for creativity.
