Sharjah Police Respond Professionally to 40,000 Calls During Weather Downturn

The Sharjah Police play a leading role in ensuring community safety and providing an effective response during challenging weather conditions. During the recent weather downturn, the Sharjah Police received 40,647 calls through the call center, reflecting their readiness and professionalism in delivering security services and ensuring the safety of citizens and residents.

Swift Response and High Efficiency

Brigadier Mohammed Rahma Al Ghazal, Director of the Operations Center at Sharjah Police, revealed that the central operations room managed 33,693 calls through the emergency number 999, in addition to 6,954 calls through the non-emergency number 901. These numbers demonstrate Sharjah Police’s high capacity to efficiently and swiftly address the community’s urgent needs.

Effective Direction of Relevant Forces

Brigadier Al Ghazal stated that the operations center operates with an integrated system focused on the rapid reception and analysis of reports, which contributes to directing the relevant authorities to address them efficiently. This system aims to minimize the impact of the weather conditions and ensure smooth traffic flow throughout the emirate.

Deployment of Patrols and Coordination of Efforts

The General Command of Sharjah Police confirmed the deployment of security and traffic patrols on main roads and vital intersections. This deployment is strengthened through coordination with strategic partners and relevant authorities, enhancing the police’s rapid response to emergency situations and immediate handling of reports according to high readiness standards.

Call for Caution and Commitment to Safety

The General Command of Sharjah Police urged community members to exercise caution during weather fluctuations. They emphasized the importance of adhering to safety guidelines while driving, stating that contacting the call center at 999 for emergencies and 901 for non-emergencies is an effective way to support security efforts to protect the community and ensure its safety.
