The Sharjah Police General Command has successfully concluded its summer initiatives under the umbrella of the “Little Policeman” programme, with participation from an impressive 2,164 children and youth. This initiative aims to leverage the summer break to cultivate vital skills in young individuals, enhance community and security awareness, and instill values of responsibility and belonging. These goals align with the strategic objectives focused on improving quality of life and fostering community partnerships while also nurturing a conscious and responsible generation.
Highlighting Key Programmes
At the forefront of this summer offering were the “Friends of the Police” and “Friends of the Police Women” courses, organised by the Sharjah Police Sciences Academy. Notably, the 39th edition of the “Friends of the Police” course and the 8th edition of the “Friends of the Police Women” course provided a comprehensive national programme designed to engage youth meaningfully during their summer holidays.
Core Values and Skills Development
These summer programmes have been pivotal in promoting values of discipline, responsibility, and national loyalty. Participants developed personal, social, and leadership skills through a diverse range of training and educational content. Such offerings not only focused on knowledge but also included practical experiences and physical activities, ensuring a well-rounded skill set for all attendees.
A Diverse Learning Experience
The summer activities hosted by the Sharjah Police General Command, as part of the “Little Policeman” programme, encompassed a wide array of skills that integrated knowledge, training, field experiences, and physical engagement. This multifaceted approach aims to enrich the youth of Sharjah both academically and socially, paving the way for them to grow into active and responsible community members.
