The exclusive operator of toll gates in Dubai, Salik, has announced the renewal of its strategic partnership with the American company Transcore for an additional five years. This agreement marks an important milestone in the ongoing collaboration between the two companies, leveraging Transcore’s expertise in toll collection systems.
Renewal of Strategic Partnership
The renewal ceremony was attended by Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of Salik, and was signed by Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, CEO of Salik, and Weit Hull, CEO of Transcore. Al Haddad emphasised that this contract renewal represents an extension of a long-standing relationship grounded in technical expertise and collaborative efforts. He noted, “We look forward to benefiting from advanced artificial intelligence capabilities and digital solutions over the next five years, enhancing our operational readiness for the future. This development will support the expansion of the Salik portfolio and improve mobility services, ultimately elevating the customer experience and contributing to Dubai’s vision of developing a smarter, more seamless, and sustainable transport system.”
Commitment to Quality and Reliability
Weit Hull, CEO of Transcore, expressed optimism regarding the partnership, stating, “In the years ahead, we are committed to supporting Salik’s aspirations and vision for continuing to enhance the toll collection system. We affirm our dedication to utilizing our expertise and technical capabilities to deliver solutions and services that meet the highest standards of efficiency, quality, and reliability.”
Financial Expectations
According to a statement released yesterday, Salik anticipates maintaining its financial impact from the contract without significant changes. The company expects annual operational expenses to remain between 5% and 5.5% of total annual revenues, despite substantial improvements in contractual, operational, and regulatory frameworks included in the renewed agreement.
