The National Media Authority has convened the first Bureaucracy Zero Council for stakeholders in the publishing sector, aiming to gather their opinions and suggestions. This initiative seeks to discuss opportunities for simplifying procedures and enhancing services, thereby streamlining transactions and elevating the experience of stakeholders while supporting their business growth.
Fostering an Interactive Dialogue
Held at the Dubai Media City, the council provided an interactive platform for dialogue regarding stakeholders’ experiences with the authority’s services. Participants addressed various challenges they encounter and explored potential ways to reduce requirements and streamline steps, direct efforts towards identifying development priorities based on the needs of service beneficiaries.
Commitment to Transforming Services
Her Excellency Maitha Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Media Regulation Sector at the National Media Authority, asserted that involving stakeholders in service development is fundamental to the Bureaucracy Zero initiative. This collaboration aims to translate the publishing sector’s needs into tangible improvements that enhance procedural efficiency and expedite completion times.
Supporting Knowledge and Creativity
Al Suwaidi remarked, “We view the development of services in the publishing sector as part of our efforts to create a supportive environment for knowledge and creativity, allowing professionals in the sector more time to advance their businesses and produce content that enriches society. We want stakeholders to feel the impact of our enhancements in terms of clearer requirements, easier access to services, and quicker processes.”
Leveraging Artificial Intelligence
Furthermore, she noted that, in line with the UAE government’s vision for proactive and user-centred services, the authority is implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in publishing services. New AI-assisted offerings will simplify procedures, reduce requirements, and accelerate transactions. The authority is committed to integrating stakeholders’ suggestions into the design of these services to ensure they meet their needs and foster business growth.
Transforming Feedback into Action
Al Suwaidi explained that stakeholder councils help convert feedback and proposals into actionable priorities, monitoring the effects of improvements on beneficiaries’ experiences. This initiative enhances partnerships in service development and evaluation of efficiency.
A Step Towards Enhanced Communication
This council represents part of the National Media Authority’s broader efforts to eliminate bureaucracy and strengthen direct communication with stakeholders. The goal is to develop services that are not only more accessible and efficient but also align with the evolving needs of the publishing sector and bolster its competitiveness.
