Mohammed bin Rashid: Our projects are ongoing, and work will not stop. This reaffirms our wise leadership’s commitment to continue developing large and innovative projects that enhance the quality of life in Dubai. In this context, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, visited the Al Mamzar Beach Development Project, which is part of an ambitious vision aimed at making Dubai one of the best cities to live in worldwide.
On April 21, 2026, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inspected the project accompanied by several senior officials, stating that the project is part of a comprehensive plan valued at three billion dirhams to enhance the efficiency of the emirate’s beaches. The development of Al Mamzar Beach, costing half a billion dirhams, aims to transform the beach into a premier family destination accommodating approximately 7 million visitors annually.
A Vision for Advanced Infrastructure
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said, “We will work to improve the beach environment to reflect Dubai’s future aspirations, thanks to integrated infrastructure that supports a healthy lifestyle and encourages community interaction.” He also reviewed the planned improvements, including new facilities designed to increase capacity by 500%. More than 35 new facilities will be added, along with modern services aimed at enhancing visitor comfort.
Sustainability and Technology Serving the Beaches
The modern infrastructure will rely on artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, enhancing public safety measures. In this regard, Engineer Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, emphasized that the project reflects Dubai’s commitment to implementing smart beach safety concepts. A total of 350,000 cubic meters of sand has been used to secure the beaches and ensure their long-term sustainability.
A Comprehensive Family Destination
Al Mamzar Beach is expected to offer a unique experience, featuring the world’s first 24-hour beach dedicated exclusively to women. Additionally, the project will include a floating promenade and a beachside restaurant, making this destination ideal for families. The open areas will also feature running and cycling paths, promoting an active lifestyle within the community.
The continuation of projects and development demonstrates that Dubai is moving towards a bright future, with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirming that “work will not stop.” Indeed, ambitious projects like the development of Al Mamzar Beach breathe new vitality into the state and elevate its position in global tourism.
