His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has ordered the promotion of Major General Tamim Al Muhairi, Director General of the Dubai State Security Department, to the rank of Lieutenant General in recognition of his dedicated efforts and notable contributions to strengthening the security system, consolidating safety and stability, and supporting institutional excellence in the emirate.
Sheikh Mohammed also ordered the promotion of 6,526 members of the Dubai State Security Department, Dubai Police General Command, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, and Dubai Civil Defence General Command, in appreciation of their sincere efforts and continued service to the nation, strengthening community safety and security, and reinforcing Dubai’s standing as a global model in security, quality of life, and efficient government services.
Recognition of national talent and institutional excellence
The promotions reflect the wise leadership’s approach to recognising and motivating national talent, embedding a culture of excellence and giving, and enhancing the readiness of security and service entities to continue carrying out their national mission with efficiency and capability in line with Dubai’s comprehensive development path.
On the occasion, Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for the generous gesture, stressing that the promotions reflect his constant keenness to value those who serve with dedication and encourage them to continue excelling. He said: «تجسد هذه التوجيهات الكريمة لصاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، رؤية راسخة في تقدير الكفاءات الوطنية، وترسيخ ثقافة التميز والعطاء، انطلاقاً من إيمان القيادة بأن الاستثمار في الإنسان هو أساس الإنجاز واستدامة الريادة».
A call to redouble efforts
Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan congratulated all officers, non-commissioned officers and personnel included in the promotions, and called on them and their colleagues to redouble their efforts, giving and sacrifice in order to elevate the standing of the beloved nation and reinforce its positive reputation internationally, under the gracious patronage and wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God protect him, and his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him.
He added that «هذه الترقيات تمثل حافزاً لمضاعفة الجهود، وتجديداً للعهد على مواصلة أداء الواجب الوطني بكل إخلاص ومسؤولية، وتعكس الثقة الكبيرة التي توليها القيادة الرشيدة لمنتسبي الأجهزة الأمنية والخدمية، ودورهم المحوري في حماية المكتسبات وتعزيز أمن المجتمع واستقراره. وسيظل رجال الوطن على قدر هذه الثقة، يواصلون أداء رسالتهم بكفاءة واقتدار، لترسيخ مكانة دبي نموذجاً عالمياً في الأمن وجودة الحياة وكفاءة الخدمات، بما يواكب تطلعات القيادة ومسيرة التنمية الشاملة».
