Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club has brought its AI Week to a close as part of the Sharjah Sports Summer programme “Our Different Holiday 2026”, following a packed week of specialist workshops, interactive activities and sports events aimed at developing participants’ skills and broadening their knowledge of innovation and modern technologies.
A week built around learning and innovation
The programme featured a varied line-up of sessions, including exploring artificial intelligence, the basics of programming and AI, the fun of designing with AI, colour your smart robot, information security and AI, and media scene makers. It also included the “Voice of the Participant” initiative, which gave members the opportunity to share their views and suggestions in preparation for Sharjah Week.
Alongside the workshops, the week also offered a series of inventive sporting and interactive activities such as a robot race, the balanced robot challenge, the smart stations challenge, the smart signal, smart rescue, and a water treasure hunt. These combined physical competition with intelligent thinking, helping to reinforce AI concepts through practical, hands-on experiences suited to different age groups.
Partnerships that enriched the programme
The activities were held in cooperation with a number of partner entities, including the Sharjah Digital Department, the Sharjah Centre for Astronomy and Space Sciences, and Bee’ah. They delivered specialised workshops and interactive experiences that enhanced the programme and helped achieve its educational and awareness-raising objectives.
Closing remarks from organisers
At the end of the week, Muhammad Awad Al Ketbi, chairman of the organising committee, said the achievement reflects the success of the programme’s vision in presenting an experience that brings together education, innovation and sport. He praised the engagement of participants, the role of strategic partners, and the efforts of the work team and supervisors in making the week a success, adding that such quality programmes would continue during Sharjah Week to support the goals of Sharjah Sports Summer in developing young people’s capabilities and making good use of their time in ways that benefit them.
