In a significant move aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the opening of an electronic visa centre in Beirut, Lebanon, scheduled for next month. This initiative not only underscores the growing ties between the two countries but also serves as a catalyst for enhancing cooperation between their respective populations.
Enhancing Procedures for Visa Applications
Omar Obaid Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasised that the new centre will facilitate the visa application process for individuals in Lebanon. By enabling users to complete the necessary procedures within the Republic of Lebanon, this centre aims to streamline the journey for applicants and accelerate processing times in accordance with established regulations and requirements.
Embracing Digital Innovation
Al Shamsi noted that the inauguration of this centre reflects the United Arab Emirates’ commitment to adopting innovative digital solutions. The initiative seeks to simplify administrative processes, enhance service efficiency, and provide users with a more accessible and flexible experience, both domestically and internationally. This aligns with the nation’s broader vision for digital transformation.
