Instant Digital Verification of Academic Credentials in Two Hours

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced a fully digital process for the verification of educational certificates and documents, which can now be completed within two hours. This initiative aims to support the needs of students and graduates while streamlining their verification processes.

Application Process for Graduates

Graduates from the academic year 2025–2026 who wish to take advantage of this service are encouraged to submit their applications directly via the ministry’s official website or through its smart application. The service encompasses the verification of all types of educational documents, including certificates from both the governmental curriculum and international programs, as well as documents issued by educational institutions.

Supported Educational Institutions

Certificates issued by various educational institutions can be verified on the ministry’s digital platform. This includes documents from the Ministry of Education, the Abu Dhabi Unified Government Services System “TAM”, and the Sharjah Private Education Authority.

Verification Timeframes and Methods

The Ministry has specified that the service to verify documents issued in the country takes only two hours during official working hours. For documents sent via delivery services, the verification process may take between one to three working days, depending on the chosen delivery company, whether within or outside the country.

Verification Procedures and Requirements

The service provides verification through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UAE missions in the destination country. This process authenticates the signature and stamp on documents issued from both inside and outside the UAE. The method of verification—whether digital or manual—is determined by the type and issuing entity of the document.

It is important to note that the digital verification process is limited to documents issued by the United Arab Emirates, provided they include a verification mechanism. This applies to educational certificates, birth certificates, death certificates, and certificates of good conduct.

Conditions and Compliance

The Ministry has outlined specific conditions for using the digital verification service, including a commitment to the accuracy of the provided information. Should any details be inaccurate, the applicant will assume legal responsibility, and requests that are not correctly completed will be automatically rejected.

Requests may also be declined if the provided information does not match the document, if the document is not original or has been altered, or if the issuing authority or document type has been incorrectly selected. Furthermore, if a document eligible for digital verification is submitted for manual verification through delivery service providers, it will also be rejected. The digital verification service is an e-service offered by the Ministry for documents intended for use outside the UAE, allowing users to submit their requests digitally.

Downloading Verified Documents

Once the verification process is complete, users can download their digitally verified documents through the “My Requests” section on the Ministry’s website.

Required Documents for Digital Verification

The documents necessary for digital verification include a digitally issued document from the UAE that is equipped with a verification mechanism, such as a QR code, a reference number, or a barcode, among others applicable to the mentioned certificates.
