Within the activities of Sharjah Week in the Sharjah Summer Sports Programme “Our Holiday is Different 2026”, Al Malha Cultural and Sports Club hosted a notable participation from the Sharjah Agricultural and Animal Production Establishment “Iktifa”, which set up a comprehensive introductory stand to highlight its organic product range under the name “Malha”. The initiative aimed to promote a culture of healthy eating, raise awareness of the importance of food security, and reinforce the status of national products among younger generations.
Interactive awareness stand
The awareness pavilion saw strong engagement from programme participants, who were introduced to the organic “Malha” products distinguished by their natural A2A2 protein, known for being easy to digest and for its role in supporting digestive health. They also learned about the stages of dairy production in line with the highest standards of quality and sustainability, reflecting the emirate of Sharjah’s vision of supporting local production and achieving sustainable food security.
The participation included a presentation of a variety of products, including fresh organic milk, organic yoghurt, flavoured milk for children, protein milk targeted at athletes, as well as a number of dairy derivatives. The work team provided a detailed explanation of the nutritional value and health benefits of each product, adding an educational dimension to the event that combined knowledge with practical experience.
Support for healthy habits and local products
Abdulrahman Mehair Al Ketbi, Vice Chairman of the Organising Committee of Sharjah Summer Sports, said Iktifa’s participation embodied the importance of community partnership between national institutions and programmes dedicated to young people. He noted that the contribution helped introduce participants to one of the most prominent national projects in agricultural and animal production, while also strengthening their awareness of healthy food and the importance of supporting local products.
He added that the Sharjah Summer Sports Programme is keen to diversify its programmes and partnerships with government and national entities in a way that achieves its objectives of offering integrated educational and awareness content. This, he said, helps develop participants’ skills and reinforces values of belonging and community awareness, in line with the Sharjah Sports Council’s vision of delivering a summer programme that combines benefit with enjoyment.
Appreciation for institutional cooperation
At the conclusion of the event, Abdulrahman Mehair Al Ketbi, Vice Chairman of the Organising Committee of Sharjah Summer Sports, extended sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Dr Eng Khalifa Musbah Ahmed Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Agriculture and Livestock, praising his continued support for community initiatives that contribute to strengthening food security and spreading health awareness among members of society.
He also thanked the Sharjah Department of Agriculture and Livestock for its pioneering efforts in achieving its development vision and mission, and the Sharjah Agricultural and Animal Production Establishment “Iktifa” and its team for their active participation and for presenting “Malha” organic products to programme participants. He stressed that such institutional partnerships represent a successful model of integration between government bodies and national institutions, and contribute to achieving the objectives of Sharjah Summer Sports in building an informed generation, entrenching the values of health and sustainability, and enhancing confidence in national products.
