The United Arab Emirates is actively engaged in humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of residents in Gaza through its “Al Fares Al Shahem 3” initiative. This program focuses on providing essential support to families in need by operating community kitchens and bakeries that deliver vital food supplies to those affected.
Swift Response to Crisis
Since its inception in 2024, “Al Fares Al Shahem 3” has aimed to combat the looming threat of famine impacting the people of Gaza. The initiative expanded its support for community kitchens, establishing 20 facilities across various regions of the enclave. These kitchens produce approximately 6,000 meals per day, culminating in an impressive total of around 2.25 million meals annually.
Expansion of Support Services
In a further commitment to address the urgent needs of the population, “Al Fares Al Shahem 3” significantly increased its operations in 2025, doubling the number of community kitchens to 40. This enhancement has enabled the programme to provide hot meals to the residents of Gaza, with an expected production reaching about 8 million meals per year by early 2026. The ongoing efforts are instrumental in fulfilling the dietary requirements of the local population.
Providing Essential Bread Supplies
In tandem with its meal provision efforts, the programme has intensified its initiatives to supply bread to families in need. Between 2024 and 2026, relief teams have operated 27 bakeries, alongside additional community bakeries, producing approximately 1.5 million loaves of bread annually. These efforts play a crucial role in supporting displaced families and those residing in evacuation centres.
Ongoing Commitment to Humanitarian Aid
“Al Fares Al Shahem 3” remains dedicated to supporting families, children, and women in Gaza through its network of community kitchens and bakeries. The initiative not only meets essential nutritional needs but also alleviates the hardships faced by those in the region, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian aid in times of crisis.
