As the blessed Eid al-Adha approaches, the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, known as “Dubai Culture,” is preparing to celebrate the occasion in a distinctive way that highlights the cultural richness and heritage of the UAE. Through a series of creative events inspired by tradition, the authority aims to enhance values of communication and affection among community members as part of the “Eid in Dubai” campaign, which falls under the “Wulfa” season aimed at strengthening family ties. These events will feature a variety of recreational and educational activities, reflecting Dubai Culture’s commitment to preserving heritage.
Diverse Events to Celebrate Eid al-Adha
Dubai Culture has announced a unique series of events to celebrate Eid al-Adha. These events will manifest in collaboration with the “Dubai Furgan” Foundation through social media platforms, where a new song titled “Atonna Eidiya” inspired by local heritage has been launched. The animated video, produced by the HBKA group, captures the festive atmosphere and evokes the details of the celebration in a contemporary visual style that resonates with the heart. The song, originally released by artist Mohammed Al Mazem in the 1990s, aims to introduce new generations to Eid traditions and strengthen their connection to their national identity.
Interactive Activities at Al Shindagha Museum
During the Eid days, from May 28 to May 31, Al Shindagha Museum, the largest heritage museum in the UAE, will host a series of heritage activities inspired by authentic customs and traditions. Among the highlights is the “Eid Coffee” workshop, which reflects the values of generosity and communication in Emirati gatherings. Additionally, the “Eidiya Path” offers visitors an opportunity to explore Eid traditions in an interactive manner, making the celebration an unforgettable experience.
Art Workshops that Foster Creativity
The Visitor Center is also organizing a series of family-oriented art workshops, such as the “Stitching on Pictures” workshop and the “Eid Outfit Design” workshop. These activities enhance the experience of interacting with heritage, providing participants with opportunities for creativity and the chance to create new memories. Furthermore, the museum will feature a display of “Ayyala” art, reflecting the rich heritage of the UAE.

For instance, Al Towar Library will host a “Eid Sheep Model” workshop, allowing children to design their own models using colorful materials, adding a playful touch to the Eid celebrations. A variety of activities will also take place in different libraries, such as “Eid Piggy Bank” and “Decorating Eidiya Bags,” ensuring an inspiring educational and entertaining experience.
