Milestones in Governmental Collaboration

His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Global Government Summit Foundation, expressed that the summit, established in 2013 to enhance governmental work and anticipate global changes, has transitioned from a local platform to an expansive international forum. “The Global Government Summit has evolved from the UAE to the world, inspired by the vision of its leadership, and today has become a global platform for practical solutions and innovative ideas,” he affirmed during his remarks at the summit’s “Dialogue” held at the Museum of the Future in Dubai.

A Gathering of Global Leaders

The 2026 edition will witness a remarkable gathering of leaders, including prominent figures such as His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan, His Excellency Guy Parmelin, President of Switzerland, and numerous others from across the globe. The presence of over 150 governments and participation from more than 6,000 attendees underscores the magnitude of the event. The summit not only facilitates discussions but also aims to transform public-private partnerships into tangible outcomes that can propel urban development and governance strategies globally.

Innovative Discussions and Strategic Meetings

This edition will feature dialogues on critical sectors such as governance, technology, aviation, logistics, and tourism. Over 24 global forums and 35 ministerial meetings are slated to engage more than 500 ministers, thereby nurturing valuable exchanges and generating strategic insights. Key topics will revolve around effective governance, human potential, economic growth, and urbanization trends, all aimed at preparing nations to meet future challenges head-on.

Honoring Excellence and Fostering Innovation

This year’s summit also aligns with the World Scientists Summit, gathering distinguished Nobel Prize winners and other global awardees to discuss key scientific challenges facing governments. The unique collaboration aims to unveil innovative solutions to pressing global issues. Additionally, the summit will honor outstanding governmental practices through various awards, showcasing excellence in leadership and sustainable development. “Every partnership forged and every initiative launched significantly contributes to the enhancement of governmental work models,” stated Al Gergawi, reflecting the summit’s commitment to excellence and progress.

The Global Government Summit continues to set the standard for leadership engagement and innovation. With an agenda designed to address the intricate challenges of modern governance, it remains a vital hub for shaping the future of societies worldwide.
