The inaugural flight received a special welcome at Iași International Airport, featuring traditional water cannon displays alongside a warm reception from local officials and media representatives. In this context, Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at Flydubai, expressed the significance of the Romanian market, stating, “Romania has always been an important market for us, as we have continued to achieve strong growth since our flights launched in 2012.”
Future Expansion and New Opportunities
Efendi added, “By launching Iași as our second destination in Romania, we are confident that these services will provide our customers with greater convenience and more opportunities to experience the culture of the country.” These flights present a fantastic opportunity for travelers to explore Iași, a city known for its many historical and cultural landmarks.
Local Opinions on the New Flights
Romeo Vatra, the General Director of Iași Airport, commented on the significance of the new flights, noting that they represent an important achievement for the airport and the region.
