This event aims to commemorate International Museum Day from May 16 to 18, providing a unique opportunity for everyone to engage with the rich narratives that shaped the city of Dubai and its visionary leadership.
إكسبو دبي is opening the doors to “رؤية دبي” free of charge in celebration of International Museum Day, offering visitors an immersive experience that narrates the story of Dubai, its heritage, and the remarkable journey of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. During the event, guests can celebrate the spirit of belonging and national pride while enjoying a display inspired by authentic Emirati values, highlighting significant milestones from the past to the present, alongside the wise leadership that transformed Dubai from a small coastal town into a global model for progress.
This initiative aligns with the theme for International Museum Day 2026: “Museums Unite a Divided World,” reflecting the vision of إكسبو دبي to reinforce national identity and foster a sense of loyalty and belonging among visitors. The effort aims to connect attendees with the legacy and values embedded in the UAE’s society while providing educational insights into its historical background.
Furthermore, the إكسبو Museum 2020 will also be open to the public at no cost, allowing them to explore some of the most important highlights of this groundbreaking event, which showcased remarkable collaboration and the spirit of unity among various cultures worldwide. This contributed significantly to establishing the UAE’s prestigious position on the world stage.

The “رؤية دبي” exhibit offers visitors an engaging experience inspired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s book, “My Story: 50 Stories in Fifty Years.” This journey takes guests through scenes mimicking the desert landscape and the foundational values instilled in him, leading to an imaginative recreation of his childhood room in Zabeel Palace, culminating in an extraordinary model of his beloved horse “Dubai Millennium.” This horse symbolizes the qualities of commitment, determination, and excellence that the Sheikh embodies.
Visitors will then explore old Dubai, reflecting on the challenges the residents faced in their quest for livelihood, primarily relying on diving and pearl fishing, which deeply influenced the economic landscape and inspired the ongoing pursuit of economic diversification for long-term prosperity.
The experience concludes with soundscapes featuring the diverse voices of Dubai’s inhabitants from various communities, illustrating how Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s vision is embodied in the lives of the people and how it shapes the societies that are forging the city’s future.
