Emaar and DWTC Launch Cutting-Edge Housing in Expo City

Emaar Properties and the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) have unveiled an exciting new phase of housing at Expo City Dubai as the transformation of the former Expo 2020 site into a vibrant, sustainable urban district accelerates. This latest initiative, titled “Expo City housing,” emphasizes Emaar’s commitment to developing innovative residential solutions in response to Dubai’s evolving real estate landscape.

Introducing Terra Gardens: A New Residential Hub

The newly launched project, known as Terra Gardens, marks the second phase of the Expo Living masterplan. This development will feature 560 contemporary apartments and townhouses, contributing to a total of 3,555 housing units planned across five distinct residential communities. Designed to support a lifestyle enriched with retail, office, and leisure spaces, the project is strategically centered around the Expo Mall.

Building on Previous Success

Emaar’s decision to initiate this phase stems from the overwhelming success of the first phase, Terra Heights, which highlighted the rising demand for quality housing in Dubai’s thriving urban sectors. This venture is a collaborative effort with DWTC, which plays a pivotal role in transforming Expo City into a sustainable, long-term residential and commercial destination.

A Vision for a Sustainable Community

Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Executive Director at Emaar Properties, emphasized the significance of this development: “With the launch of Terra Gardens, we are taking the next step in realizing the vision of Expo Living as a dynamic, sustainable, and connected community.” The development will encompass over 450,000 square meters, enriched with landscaped courtyards, jogging and cycling tracks, and various sports and wellness facilities, ensuring residents enjoy a lifestyle deeply integrated with the cultural and business facets of Expo City.

Aligning with Dubai’s Urban Vision

Moreover, this project aligns closely with Dubai’s ambitious 2040 Urban Master Plan, which prioritizes sustainability and the creation of public spaces. Amer Al Farsi, DWTC’s Vice President of Real Estate Development, remarked that this launch represents “an important step towards shaping the future of Expo City Dubai” by blending residential, retail, and commercial offerings within a single, cohesive masterplan. This partnership not only enhances Emaar’s presence in Expo City but is also a critical component of the broader post-Expo redevelopment strategy aimed at establishing the area as a hub for innovation, business, and sustainable living.
