The following month, May witnessed a surge in settlements, with 191 agreements finalized, totaling AED25.518 million ($6.9 million). These figures illustrate the growing trust landlords and tenants place in the centre’s ability to mediate effectively.
Peak Performance in June
June marked a significant peak for the RDC, with 108 settlements concluded at an extraordinary value of AED129.334 million ($35.2 million). This uptick not only emphasizes the centre’s responsive nature but also showcases its effectiveness in addressing the pressing needs of the rental market.
Judge Abdulqader Mousa Mohammed, Chairman of the Rental Disputes Centre, remarked, “These achievements prove our unwavering commitment to enhancing judicial efficiency and promoting friendly settlement mechanisms that deliver justice and uphold the rights of all parties involved.” He further added that the RDC’s efforts are guided by the vision of Dubai’s leadership to create a secure and appealing property market for both investors and residents.
Innovative Practices Drive Success
According to officials, the RDC’s continued success can be attributed to its adoption of advanced legal and administrative practices, alongside seamless collaboration with government entities and private sector stakeholders. This integrated approach provides flexible and timely solutions that address the needs and expectations of both landlords and tenants.
The achievements of the RDC in resolving $52 million in rental disputes reinforce its essential role in ensuring fairness within rental relations, alleviating both legal and social pressures. This not only solidifies Dubai’s reputation as a transparent and equitable real estate hub but also fosters investor confidence, contributing to the long-term resilience of the emirate’s property market.
As the RDC expands its services and innovative solutions, it remains an integral part of building a stable and balanced rental landscape in Dubai. The significant progress made in the second quarter of 2025 highlights not just the centre’s operational efficiency but also its commitment to promoting a fair and sustainable property market.
