Dubai Real Estate Achieves Historic $7 Billion Weekly Surge

Last week, the Dubai real estate sector recorded AED25.88bn ($7bn) in transactions, highlighting a robust market that continues to attract attention from investors. This spike includes a remarkable AED8.44bn ($2.3bn) worth of transactions completed in just one day, showcasing the dynamic nature of real estate in the region. As reported by the Land Department, the figures reflect a growing confidence in the market, driven by both local and international buyers keen to capitalize on lucrative opportunities.

Sales transactions were the primary contributors, accounting for AED22.04bn ($6.7bn), as outlined by the Land Department.

During this period, a total of 8,328 sales transactions were recorded between July 7 and July 11, reflecting aggressive activity within the market.

Highlights of the Transactions

Among the most notable sales recorded in the Dubai real estate sector last week were several high-value properties:

  • An apartment in Six Senses Residences The Palm, located in Palm Jumeirah, sold for AED116m ($31.6m).
  • An apartment in The Alba Residences, also in Palm Jumeirah, fetched AED70m ($19m).
  • A luxury apartment in Ava at Palm Jumeirah, developed by Omniyat, was sold for AED64.5m ($17.5m).

The transaction highlights illustrate not only the wealth of options available within Dubai’s luxury market but also the willingness of buyers to invest significant sums in prime locations.

Mortgage and Gift Transactions

The Land Department’s report also included mortgage deals amounting to AED2.87bn ($781m) last week, indicative of strong support from financial institutions for buyers in the current market environment. Furthermore, gift transactions during the same period were valued at AED966m ($264m), showcasing the cultural practice of gifting properties as an integral part of real estate transactions in Dubai.

Overall, the Dubai real estate sector continues to thrive, with last week’s AED25.88bn ($7bn) in transactions — including the exceptional single-day total of AED8.44bn ($2.3bn) — further cementing the city’s position as a leading global real estate hub. As demand for both luxury and residential properties remains high, many analysts anticipate that this upward trend will continue, attracting even more investors to the market.
