Dubai’s Endowment and Minors’ Funds Foundation has honoured School of Scientific Research in recognition of its contribution to supporting sustainable endowment initiatives.
The recognition came during a meeting between Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of the Foundation, and Najla Saif Al Shamsi, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Scientific Research for Investment, attended by several representatives from both sides, including Ayman Jarrah, Deputy General Manager at the school, and Ali Al Hammadi, Head of the Innovation Team at the Foundation.
The schools, represented by Al Shamsi, received a certificate of appreciation from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, in recognition of their contribution to launching an educational endowment and their prominent role in promoting a culture of endowment and instilling the values of giving and sustainability among students.
Recognition for an educational endowment
Al Shamsi expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for the honour and for his generous patronage of the project, while also thanking Dubai’s Endowment and Minors’ Funds Foundation for its creative and sincere efforts in supporting distinguished endowment initiatives.
She said: “We at Scientific Research for Investment feel honoured by this recognition, and we see it as appreciation for a path that believes education is one of the greatest avenues of الخير and one of the most important fields of investment in people.”
She added: “Our participation in the endowment project dedicated to supporting education stems from our national and social responsibility, and from our belief that providing educational opportunities for the children of citizens and residents on this land is both an obligation and a mission. We will, God willing, continue to support every initiative that serves people, strengthens values of giving, and contributes to building a better future for our generations.”
A model linking education and endowment
For his part, Al Mutawa said that presenting School of Scientific Research with a certificate of appreciation for contributing to the launch of an educational endowment to support underprivileged students, and for promoting the culture of endowment among students, reflects an inspiring model of integration between the education sector and endowment work.
He said this helps prepare a generation that understands the importance of endowment as a driver of sustainable development.
He added that educational institutions are a strategic partner in embedding a culture of endowment among younger generations, noting that the School of Scientific Research initiative reflects a leading model in using education to instil the values of giving and social responsibility.
He further said that the Foundation is keen to expand its partnerships with educational institutions, given their central role in building social awareness, reinforcing concepts of endowment and sustainability, and encouraging students to adopt initiatives that promote giving in line with Dubai’s vision of strengthening endowment work and deepening its social impact.
