Dubai Lands Boost National Talent and Innovation at IPS 2026

Dubai has taken a significant step towards enhancing trust and innovation within its real estate sector through its participation in the 22nd edition of the IPS 2026 exhibition, which commenced at the Dubai World Trade Centre and runs until September 9. The Dubai Land Department (DLD) is engaging as a strategic partner at this event, focusing on broadening investment opportunities and empowering local talents and companies.

Robust Real Estate Growth

During the exhibition’s first day, the DLD showcased impressive real estate performance indicators from the first half of 2026. The emirate saw the completion of 104 property projects, with a total investment value exceeding AED 111 billion. This resulted in the addition of 24,537 new units, marking a 38.7% increase in completed projects and a 52% rise in investment values compared to the same period last year.

Creating a Trusted Investment Environment

Majid Saqr Al Marri, Executive Director of the DLD’s Corporate Support Sector, emphasised that Dubai offers a global real estate ecosystem, providing diverse opportunities and a reliable investment environment grounded in transparency, regulatory clarity, and efficient services. He noted that the department’s participation allows investors to gain firsthand insight into services, data, and digital solutions that enhance the property investment and ownership experience.

Innovative Property Ownership Initiatives

The DLD highlighted the success of the “First Property Ownership” programme, which has enabled over 3,200 residents to purchase their first homes in Dubai, generating transactions worth more than AED 5 billion since its inception in July 2025. The number of people registered in the programme has surpassed 45,000.

Embracing Digital Transformation

At the exhibition, leaders from the DLD participated in sessions discussing the role of open data, digital transformation, and regulatory frameworks in enhancing the market’s appeal. They also showcased the “Preliminary Registration” platform, the “Rais for Real Estate Innovation” initiative, and the “Dubai Rest” application.

Workshops and Networking Opportunities

The DLD organised a real estate empowerment workshop in collaboration with several entities, including the National Competitiveness Council “Nafes.” Additionally, the “Bridges” forum gathered around 120 representatives from developers, real estate companies, and relevant stakeholders, fostering connections between local firms and business and procurement opportunities within the sector.

Supporting Visionary Goals for Real Estate

Through its ongoing engagement, the DLD supports the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, reinforcing the emirate’s status as a global destination for real estate investment and ownership.
