Dubai Hotel Revenues Expected to Hit 21 Billion Dirhams by 2025

The hotel room revenues in Dubai are set to reach remarkable heights, nearing 21 billion dirhams by 2025. This impressive forecast underscores the emirate’s position as a thriving hospitality destination, bolstered by increasing tourist arrivals and strategic investments in the travel and tourism sector. As the demand for hotel accommodations continues to rise, the industry is gearing up for sustained growth, reflecting an overall enhancement in the visitor experience and available offerings.

Revenue Growth Trajectory

Last year, hotel room revenues in Dubai witnessed a significant increase of 15.5%, bringing the total to 20.9 billion dirhams, compared to 18.1 billion dirhams in 2024. According to data from the Department of Economy and Tourism, the number of overnight stays in Dubai hotels hit 44.85 million nights in 2025. This surge illustrates the emirate’s rebounding tourism sector and its attractiveness to international travelers.

Occupancy Rates and Room Yield

The data indicates a 4% growth in the number of hotel rooms booked last year, totaling 44.85 million nights, a substantial increase from 43.03 million nights in 2024. Furthermore, the average revenue per room for 2025 climbed by 11%, reaching 467 dirhams compared to 421 dirhams in the previous year. These metrics highlight the continuing upward trend in hotel room revenue in Dubai, reflecting both enhanced occupancy and pricing strategies.

Competitive Hospitality Market

Dubai’s hotels have reported record revenues in recent periods, positioning the emirate among the premier global markets. With fierce competition among hotel chains, there is a relentless drive to enhance their market share and presence in the local landscape. This competition is fueled by growing tourist inflows from various regions, further complicating the landscape for hospitality businesses aiming to capitalize on these trends.

International Visitor Count

In 2025, Dubai welcomed over 19.59 million international visitors, surpassing all previous records and showcasing a 5% growth rate. This remarkable influx has been pivotal in revitalizing the global tourism sector. The hotel sector in Dubai has continued to demonstrate robust performance, exceeding pre-pandemic levels across multiple metrics, including hotel occupancy, number of rooms booked, length of guest stays, average daily room rates, and revenue per available room.

The trajectory of hotel room revenues in Dubai is not only a testament to the emirate’s effective tourism strategies but also signals a promising future as the industry continues to embrace innovation and excellence in service delivery.
