The new initiatives include various measures that reflect a thoughtful approach to anticipating current pressures. This includes flexible repayment plans for businesses in the trade and retail sectors, as well as facilitation in paying renewal fees for licenses. The support also extends to providing additional assistance to retail stores, making it easier for them to navigate this challenging period.

Grace Periods and Flexibility

As part of the client support facilities, grace periods will be granted for administrative payments related to lease contracts, as well as for data protection management and employee registration in the “DEWS” savings plan. These measures are designed to ensure that businesses can continue operating without obstacles, contributing to the strength, resilience, and sustainability of the financial system within the DIFC.

Support for Regulatory Bodies

Furthermore, the Dubai Financial Services Authority has launched temporary regulatory facilities to support new companies seeking licenses. This step is part of ongoing efforts to ensure a stable and flexible working environment, reflecting DIFC’s commitment to providing all forms of support to clients during these challenging times.

DIFC remains confident in the financial community’s ability to overcome these challenges, with expectations that it will emerge stronger and better than before. Through these initiatives, DIFC reaffirms its ongoing efforts to enhance Dubai’s position as a leading player in the global financial arena.
