Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Women’s Committee at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) successfully executed 15 awareness and community events during the first half of 2026. These initiatives aimed to enhance the readiness of female employees to navigate the rapidly changing challenges in their environments, and to develop their skills in communication and teamwork. The committee also focused on fostering a harmonious relationship between the employees’ roles in the workplace and their contributions to society, achieving a remarkable 95% satisfaction rate among attendees.

Empowering Women through Innovative Initiatives

Fatima Mohammed Al Jokar, Chairwoman of the Women’s Committee, stated, “We are launching quality initiatives that support DEWA’s efforts to empower women, enhancing their capabilities and promoting their roles across various vital sectors in line with the aspirations of DEWA and the Emirate of Dubai. We invest in the skills of national female talents to assist in their career and leadership journeys, helping them achieve balance in their professional and personal lives, as well as enhancing their happiness, mental and physical health, and overall quality of life.”

Topics included digital safety basics, personal data protection when using smart applications and social media, and strengthening familial and social ties during Ramadan. The events also promoted the noble values of this holy month, including harmony, tolerance, respect for cultures, and the conservation of precious resources.
