Furthermore, the total value of customer-submitted requests rose by 13.1% to AED 6.9 billion, up from AED 6.1 billion.
Rise in Automated Approvals
The adoption of intelligent systems saw a significant uptick, with the number of automatically approved requests rising by 10% to 844.5 thousand, compared to 767.5 thousand in the first half of 2025. Automated approvals now account for approximately 62.1% of all completed requests.
Extended Deadline for Document Submission
In response to recent geopolitical and economic conditions, Dubai Customs has extended the deadline for submitting supporting documents for claims from 30 to 90 days. This decision aims to facilitate timely processing of requests that meet the necessary criteria, reduce delays, and mitigate the risk of guarantees being confiscated.
