In a significant move towards fostering inclusivity, the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai has launched the “Inclusive Environment… Balanced Family” programme as part of its “You are the Impact” initiative. This programme aims to empower employees with disabilities, as well as the parents of those individuals, enhancing their work-life quality and promoting a more inclusive and flexible workplace.
Empowering Individuals and Families
The programme is aligned with CDA’s vision to lead a comprehensive social system that proactively responds to the needs of individuals and families. It offers a collaborative platform where targeted groups can express their employment, training, and awareness needs, as well as participate in developing initiatives, services, and future training programmes.
Focus on Professional Skills and Support
With an emphasis on developing professional skills and personal capabilities, the initiative also seeks to foster institutional loyalty and collaboration. Additionally, it provides psychological and moral support for employees who are parents of individuals with disabilities, reinforcing a culture of appreciation and inclusiveness.

Mytha Al Shamsi, the Executive Director of the Community Empowerment Sector at CDA, stated that this programme embodies the authority’s commitment to integrating empowerment and inclusivity into the workplace. She highlighted the importance of listening to employees and involving them in formulating solutions and initiatives that cater to their needs.
