19 Daily Airshows at Dubai Airshow 2025

As the Dubai Airshow 2025 approaches, the event stands out as an incredible international showcase featuring 19 daily airshows, where aviation enthusiasts and experts from around the world converge. This exhibition is one of the most prominent aerial events in the sector, offering a diverse array of performances, including global aerobatic teams and civilian and military aircraft, making it a key destination for aviation lovers.

Air Operations Management with the Highest Safety Standards

Ibrahim Ahli, CEO of Dubai Air Navigation Services, stated that the intensive airshow program at Dubai Airshow 2025 requires precise management to ensure everyone’s safety. The organization is responsible for the air operations related to the shows, through a joint committee composed of civilian and military experts. These specialists work to ensure the smooth flow of air traffic and the safety of aircraft, crews, and the audience.

Ahli explained that the entry of aircraft into the country’s airspace and the execution of their performances are coordinated according to approved operational plans. Additionally, pilots are provided with essential technical information about the airport, airspace, and weather conditions, which aids in executing the shows safely and efficiently, leading to the departure of aircraft from the country after the performances.

Growth of Air Traffic in Dubai

Air traffic is experiencing record growth, with Dubai International Airport recently announcing its highest daily traffic in history, reaching 1,330 movements. Numbers are expected to continue rising with increasing travel demand, reflecting the strength and growing stature of the aviation sector in the UAE.

Investment in Emirati Talent

In line with enhancing national competencies, Ahli highlighted the importance of investing in the training of young Emirati professionals. The organization confirmed it employs over 130 engineers and air traffic controllers who are citizens, including several Emirati women in operational and leadership roles. Accredited training programs also provide official certifications from the Ministry of Higher Education.

Currently, there are more than 11 Emirati air traffic controllers being coordinated for full training, reflecting the organization’s commitment to developing talent in this vital sector. These positions are among the most sensitive and responsible in the aviation field.

A Bright Future for the Aviation Sector in the UAE

It is noteworthy that the aviation sector in the UAE is undergoing a significant transformation, with the construction of the largest airport in the world—Al Maktoum International Airport. This airport is expected to accommodate traffic levels far exceeding many current metrics, necessitating enhanced international partnerships and the development of innovative solutions to meet future demands. This ensures the UAE’s continued excellence in the global aviation landscape, making the Dubai Airshow 2025 a prominent event in this context.
