The Daba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club has taken an active role in fostering youth engagement through a series of educational and awareness workshops as part of the national readiness initiative “Ghatarif”. This programme, provided by the Federal Youth Foundation under the auspices of the Education, Human Development and Community Council, aims to reach out to students from the Higher Colleges of Technology in Fujairah and Al Ain, as well as at Khorefkan University.
Strengthening Community Collaboration
The club’s participation highlights its commitment to enhancing cooperation with local institutions and supporting youth initiatives that contribute to building a conscientious and capable generation. Over the course of three days, the workshops addressed key areas focused on skill development and traditional values.
Workshops Promoting Success and Heritage
Significant contributions came from Dr Mohammed Ahmed Al Mutawa, the club’s president, who led workshops entitled “Your Relationship is the Key to Your Success”. Alongside these sessions, he further explored themes of quality, excellence, and self-confidence with the participants.
Additionally, Mohammed Rashid Rashoud Al Hamoudi, a member of the club’s community cultural committee, facilitated a workshop titled “Sinnah as a Way of Life”. This session shed light on Emirati identity, social values, etiquette in gatherings, hospitality, and communication, whilst also emphasising key traditional practices passed down from ancestors.
Through these initiatives, the Daba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club continues to play a vital role in nurturing the potential of young individuals, ensuring they are equipped with both the skills and values necessary for their personal and professional journeys.
