In an inspiring move to promote family stability and community connectivity, the Community Development Authority of Dubai has announced the launch of several innovative projects and initiatives. Titled “إطلاق مجالس مجتمعية ومركز الأسرة الموحد في دبي,” this initiative emphasizes the importance of measuring the real impact of these family-centered projects on the community. The dialogue around these developments was highlighted during the media forum named “ملتقى واحد أسرة واحدة,” where officials outlined strategic plans intended to foster a cohesive society and enhance family dynamics within Dubai.
A Vision for Family Stability
During the forum, Her Excellency Hessa Bou Humaid, Director-General of the Community Development Authority, underscored the authority’s commitment to prioritizing the social and familial impact of new initiatives. She reiterated that evaluations would not only gauge past executed projects but also pave the way for a positive transformation in family lives. The key measurement of success lies in implementing projects that lead to sustainable, beneficial changes, moving beyond just counting initiatives.
Innovative Initiatives for Community Well-being
Among the notable programs discussed was the Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Family Program. Launched over a year ago, this initiative has already demonstrated a significant positive effect, as evidenced by rising marriage statistics — from 3% in 2023 to 12% forecasted in 2025 among Emirati citizens. Such figures illustrate the program’s effectiveness in strengthening family structures and reinforcing societal values.
Furthermore, this effort, along with the Dubai Weddings initiative, has successfully recorded over 100 new births, indicating that family-focused initiatives are playing a vital role in demographic growth and social stability.
Strengthening Community Engagement
In the coming phase, the authority plans to enhance familial bonds and national identity among younger generations. This involves understanding the diverse needs of different age groups within families and potentially revising existing legislation to support these goals. Announced initiatives include the establishment of community councils, with five model councils set to debut in various neighborhoods, aimed at promoting social interaction and reinforcing family stability.
Commitment to Continuous Development
Highlighting the successes of community engagement efforts, Huraiz bin Huraiz, Executive Director of Organizational Regulation and Social Services at the authority, noted that the model councils would serve as effective platforms for enhancing social relationships. The Dubai Weddings initiative also significantly contributed to a 14% increase in marriage contracts last year, further emphasizing the positive ripple effect these programs create within the community.
As Dubai evolves, it is evident that the initiatives encapsulated in the concept of “إطلاق مجالس مجتمعية ومركز الأسرة الموحد في دبي” will play a crucial role in fostering a resilient social framework, enabling families to thrive in a supportive environment.
