In its efforts to support community communication and raise awareness about the importance of the environment, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City organized an awareness event titled “In Love with Our City” in the Qarn Yafour area. The event targeted workers, in collaboration with several institutions such as the Labor Housing Authority, the New National Medical Center, and Grand Gifts. Through this initiative, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi aims to highlight the vital role of workers in achieving community and environmental goals.
Promoting Environmental Behaviors
The event was held to emphasize the importance of promoting positive environmental behaviors among workers. The activities focused on instilling a culture of environmental preservation and care for public facilities, aligning with the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City’s efforts to build a conscious and responsible community. Every individual in society plays a crucial role in protecting the environment and improving the quality of life.
Awareness Workshops for Workers
The event included an awareness workshop that addressed the importance of adhering to proper behaviors to maintain the overall appearance. During this workshop, workers were introduced to the most common violations and explained their negative impacts on the environment and public health. These sessions provided an opportunity for workers to learn how to better maintain labor accommodations and public areas.
Environmental Workshops and Active Participation
The event also organized an environmental workshop that focused on the importance of protecting the environment and rationalizing daily practices. Awareness of behaviors that contribute to reducing visual pollution was enhanced, contributing to the improvement of the overall urban appearance. All activities received positive feedback and engagement from the participating workers.
Appreciating Positive Participation
At the conclusion of the event, awards were distributed to workers in recognition of their active participation in the awareness workshops. The “In Love with Our City” event is part of a series of community initiatives launched by the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City to enhance partnerships with various community sectors and promote a culture of shared responsibility.
