Bergil Holdings Revolutionizes Healthcare Growth Through Brand Unity

On October 12, 2026, Burjeel Holding announced a significant restructuring initiative aimed at enhancing the accessibility and affordability of healthcare services in the UAE. By unifying its brand portfolio, which includes LLH, Lifecare, and Medeor, under a single leadership structure, the company is set to launch a dedicated sector focused on delivering cost-effective healthcare solutions.

Leadership and Strategic Goals

Dr. Narendra D. Sonigra has been appointed as the CEO of this consolidated platform. This initiative is designed to integrate primary care clinics, medical centres, and multi-specialty hospitals to improve community access to healthcare services, optimise asset utilization, and support sustainable growth. The new focus will centre on delivering affordable healthcare along with occupational and industrial health services across the UAE.

Part of Burjeel 2.0 Transformation Programme

This move is part of the “Burjeel 2.0” operational alignment and transformation strategy, which aims to establish specialized business units within the healthcare sector. The strategy includes clear delineation of clinical performance responsibilities, patient experience, and financial outcomes. While the three brands will retain their independent identities, they will benefit from shared leadership and operational efficiencies within the broader Burjeel ecosystem.

Commitment to Quality Care

Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Chairman and CEO of Burjeel Holding, emphasised the importance of providing high-quality, affordable healthcare services and the role of these hospitals in meeting community needs throughout the UAE. He stated, “The strong foothold of these hospitals signifies the necessity of delivering high-quality healthcare at an affordable cost. Our priority remains to provide accessible healthcare close to where people live and work.”

Extensive Healthcare Presence

The unified platform currently operates six hospitals across the UAE, including Medeor hospitals in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, LLH hospitals in Abu Dhabi and Mussafah, and Lifecare hospitals in Mussafah and Baniyas. Additionally, it boasts 24 medical centres and clinics with a capacity exceeding 500 beds. The platform employs over 2,400 medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and allied health specialists. In 2025, its facilities recorded over 2.3 million outpatient visits and more than 61,000 hospital admissions, collectively contributing 22.5% to the group’s revenue that year and 22.7% during the first half of 2026.

Future Expansion Plans

Burjeel Holding is also planning to establish a new 75-bed LLH-branded hospital in Jebel Ali, Dubai, to cater to the needs of the local industrial workforce and surrounding communities. In addition, the platform aims to launch more than ten new clinics across the UAE, further enhancing the accessibility of healthcare services for communities and key employment centres.
