The American Hospital Dubai is setting a new standard for community healthcare in Expo City Dubai, with its latest advanced healthcare facility slated to open between 2026 and 2027. Designed specifically to serve the Expo City community and surrounding areas, this new clinic represents a significant addition to the already high-quality medical services offered by the American Hospital Dubai. The focus will be on accessibility, clinical excellence, and prompt healthcare delivery, further solidifying the hospital’s commitment to community well-being.
The agreement for establishing the Expo City Dubai clinic was signed by Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and CEO of the Expo City Dubai Authority, and Mr. Sharif Bashara, CEO of the Mohammed & Obaid Al Mulla Group and the American Hospital Dubai. This signing took place at the recent 50th edition of the Global Health Exhibition “Dubai WHX 2026,” a leading event in the healthcare sector in the Middle East, which occurred at the Dubai Exhibition Center in Expo City Dubai from February 9 to 12.
Since its inception in 1996, the American Hospital Dubai has continually expanded its portfolio to meet the healthcare needs of the growing Dubai community. In addition to its main facility in Oud Metha, the hospital operates several clinics across the emirate, including locations in Dubai Media City, Al Barsha, Al Khawaneej, Dubai Hills, Jumeirah, Mira, and Al Wasl. Recently, it also launched a state-of-the-art multispecialty hospital in the Dubai Science Park in Al Barsha South 2.
The Expo City Dubai clinic will provide comprehensive primary care, specialized medical services, and advanced diagnostics, all under one roof. A particular focus will be placed on early detection, integrated care pathways, and trusted medical expertise. Offering a wide array of services, the clinic will include primary healthcare and preventive services, pediatrics, endocrinology, ENT and audiology, gastroenterology, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology (including comprehensive stress tests and echocardiography), dermatology, orthopedics, a specialized breast health unit, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, patient support services, and an in-house pharmacy.
Furthermore, the clinic will be equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic and imaging technologies, such as MRI, X-rays, and ultrasound, facilitating swift and accurate medical decision-making. The Day Surgery Department will enable same-day procedures, including endoscopic surgeries. By prioritizing early detection, care integration, and reliable medical expertise, the clinic is poised to support patients throughout their treatment journey, thereby improving health outcomes and making healthcare more accessible and convenient for families and professionals residing in the vicinity.
Mr. Sharif Bashara remarked, “We are pleased to announce our new clinic in Expo City Dubai, set to open between 2026 and 2027, demonstrating our strategic vision to keep pace with Dubai’s rapid growth and solidify our presence in key central areas.” He also emphasized the hospital’s steadfast commitment to supporting the healthcare ecosystem in the emirate, as it continues to expand services and geographical reach to meet the growing health needs of the community with the highest global standards.
Bashara added, “Our mission in healthcare transcends merely providing high-quality medical services; it focuses on making these services accessible to a broader community by enhancing accessibility, improving comfort, and offering a holistic care experience that places the patient at the center.” Since the founding of the American Hospital Dubai in 1996, the organization has aimed to be at the forefront of medical institutions that blend clinical excellence with thoughtful expansion, ensuring that the needs and aspirations of patients remain the driving force behind its growth strategy.
The new Expo City clinic will undoubtedly elevate community healthcare standards, reinforcing the American Hospital Dubai’s commitment to not only providing exceptional medical services but also nurturing a healthier, more vibrant community.
