“مجموعة ألِف,” a prominent real estate development company in Sharjah, has recently signed a four-year agreement with the American University of Sharjah (AUS) to fund scholarships for undergraduate students. This collaboration highlights both parties’ commitment to expanding educational opportunities and reinforcing Sharjah’s status as a leading centre for higher education and scientific research.
Under the terms of this agreement, “مجموعة ألِف” will provide financial support for scholarships starting from the Fall 2026 semester. The initiative aims to assist academically outstanding students or those in need of financial aid, covering tuition fees through a dedicated fund managed by the university.
This latest agreement builds on a Memorandum of Understanding signed between both parties in November 2025, showcasing a strategic framework transformed into a long-term initiative focused on delivering tangible results.
Commitment to Sustainable Development
Rayed Kajour Al-Naeemi, CEO of “مجموعة ألِف,” emphasised that the journey towards sustainable development begins with investing in people. “This scholarship programme exemplifies our long-term commitment to nurturing talent and providing quality opportunities that support academic excellence across various disciplines,” he stated. He also highlighted the importance of enabling standout students, including Emirati students, to pursue their studies at the American University of Sharjah. “We are dedicated to contributing to the development of a skilled generation equipped with the necessary skills and expertise to shape the future of Sharjah and the UAE.”
Fostering Educational Partnerships
Dr. Todd Larson, Director of the American University of Sharjah, expressed the importance of expanding access to outstanding education through sustainable partnerships with institutions that recognise the long-term value of investing in human potential. He noted that this agreement with “مجموعة ألِف” opens doors for deserving students to continue their journey towards academic excellence across a wide array of disciplines. This not only supports the development of Emirati competencies but also aligns with Sharjah’s vision to build a knowledge-based society capable of meeting future demands.
In conclusion, this partnership between “مجموعة ألِف” and the American University of Sharjah marks a significant stride towards enhancing educational access and fostering a culture of excellence, ultimately benefitting students and the broader community in Sharjah.
