Al Habtour Calls for Government Action on North Coast Land Matters

In a recent turn of events, Emirati businessman Khalaf Al-Habtoor addressed rumors surrounding a plot of land on the North Coast of Egypt, specifically refuting claims of government interventions to inflate the price. In his evening post, Al-Habtoor articulated his gratitude toward the Egyptian government for its transparency, shedding light on the real estate opportunities in the region. His message to the Egyptian government underscores the importance of clear communication and institutional integrity in fostering a positive investment climate.

Clarifying Misunderstandings

Al-Habtoor decisively resolved the confusion about the land in question, responding to various speculations regarding officials’ involvement in manipulating its price. “I have followed with interest the statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office in the beloved Arab Republic of Egypt,” he shared, emphasizing that the information reported was accurately represented in his interview and expressing gratitude for the government’s clarifying announcement.

Appreciation for Transparency

In a heartfelt message on social media, he noted, “I am pleased to see this diligence from the brotherly Egyptian state to clarify facts transparently,” highlighting the strength of institutions and the clear mechanisms of operation and law in Egypt. Al-Habtoor continued to express his deep respect and affection for Egypt and its people, affirming his belief in the positive collaborative and investment opportunities rooted in mutual respect and clarity.

Positive Messages Toward Investment

The businessman further remarked, “Today’s clarification is a positive message reinforcing my confidence that Egypt is a country of institutions committed to providing a fair, transparent, and open investment environment.” His admiration for Egypt was evident as he expressed hope for the country’s continued success and progress under its wise leadership.

Official Response to Allegations

In response to Al-Habtoor’s statements, Mohamed Al-Homsani, the official spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, categorically denied claims made by the businessman regarding the Prime Minister’s involvement in raising the price of the land from $10 million to $30 million. Al-Homsani stated, “The government entities responsible for the North Coast lands confirmed that they had not received any request from investor Khalaf Al-Habtoor, rendering this incident unfounded and fabricated.”

Moreover, he reiterated that the criteria for acquiring land for investment in the North Coast or any other location are defined and clear, governed by appropriate authorities without interference from officials. “Egypt welcomes Emirati brothers—both investors and non-investors,” he added, showcasing the successful track record of Emirati investors within the country.

With these developments, Al-Habtoor’s message to the Egyptian government signifies an important dialogue that aligns with a shared vision for steadfast economic collaboration and transparency in investment practices.
