Al Dhaid Club Launches Youth Initiative for Holiday Engagement

Nad Al Dhaid hosted a youth-focused gathering as part of its seasonal community efforts, bringing together young people from the region for an open exchange of ideas, aspirations, and concerns. The event, held in collaboration with the Central Region Youth Council, reflected the organization’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and creating meaningful spaces for dialogue, participation, and future planning.

Opening the Dialogue with Youth

The meeting began with an opening speech by Dr. Mariam Obaid Al Shuwain, Vice President of the Central Region Youth Council, who emphasized the importance of providing dialogue spaces for young people. This approach enhances their participation in proposing ideas and initiatives that serve the community and align with their aspirations. This focus has become fundamental at the club, which organized a youth gathering as part of their “Our Unique Holiday” program, highlighting the need for platforms that listen to young people and give them a greater role in shaping future initiatives.

The event was attended by His Excellency Salem Mohammed Bin Hwaidn Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al Dhaid Club, His Excellency Rashid Abdullah Al Muhyan, Malek Musbah Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Marketing and Investment Committee, Saif Bin Dalaan Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Planning and Institutional Excellence Committee, and Mr. Mahir Obaid Al Khayal Al Tani, Executive Director of the club, along with parents, supervisors, and organizers.

Institutional Presence and Youth Support

Also present from the Federal Youth Foundation were Mr. Jassim Al Obaidli, Director of Youth Engagement, and Ms. Halima Al Darmaki. Participating from the Central Region Youth Council were Hwaidan Mohammed Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Council, and Engineer Saif Al Nadas, a council member. This attendance reflects the complementary roles among entities concerned with youth and confirms that the Al Dhaid Club’s youth gathering, as part of their “Our Unique Holiday” initiative, serves as a practical platform that brings together institutions and young talents in one space.

The meeting discussed the role and goals of youth councils, showcased key youth opportunities and initiatives, and addressed the needs and aspirations of the youth in the central region.
