The Shahaniya of Al-Aseefa Shines in the “Giants” Challenge at the Final Maroom

On an exciting day at the Final Maroom Festival 2026, the Shahaniya of Al-Aseefa excelled in the Giants Challenge, featuring thrilling competition among the finest camels owned by Their Highnesses. The championship kicked off with exhilarating races, especially in the category designated for female and male camels, with the Shahaniya achieving remarkable results that positioned it at the forefront of the events. With record timings and exceptional performance, the Shahaniya solidified its status as one of the standout names in the world of camel racing, capturing the attention of enthusiasts and owners alike.

Exciting Competitions in the Main Races

The first day of competitions included 12 races, led by the Giants races spanning 8 kilometers. “Wad” of Al-Shahaniya, guided by trainer Salem Farhan Al-Marri, successfully completed the distance in a time of 12:17.1 minutes, making it the best during the evening sessions. Additionally, “Al-Basir” secured a second victory for Al-Shahaniya, winning the second race with a time of 12:32.6 minutes.

In the third race, the Shahaniya of Al-Aseefa, led by trainer Ghiyath Al-Hilali, achieved victory with a commendable time of 12:19.8 minutes. Gradually, the Al-Shahaniya banner returned to claim the fourth race through “Asatir,” led by Mohammed Khalid Abdullah Al-Attiyah, which recorded a time of 12:27.0 minutes, maintaining the intense competition.

Outstanding Performance in the Morning Session

During the morning session, another 14 races were held for female and male camels, where the Shahaniya showcased excellent performance by winning its first race for females, completing the distance in 12:17.6 minutes, reflecting its strong start. In the second race, “Al-Riyahi” of Al-Shahaniya, guided by Farhan Mohammed Hamad Qari Al-Marri, recorded a time of 12:54.7 minutes. Success did not stop there, as Al-Shahaniya followed with another impressive achievement in the third race with “Mahra,” which achieved an excellent time of 12:14.5 minutes.

The Shahaniya of Al-Aseefa continued its success in the morning event, claiming victory in the fourth race with a commendable time of 12:20.5 minutes. On the other hand, “Al-Haba” recorded the best time across all morning challenges, shining with a time of 12:12.4 minutes.

Continuing Competition through the Thaniya Symbols

As the competitions for the symbols approached, attention was drawn to the challenges for the Thaniya category of the tribes’ camels, which include six valuable symbols. The morning session will feature 18 races, with the first eight designated for production camels. Moving to the evening session, 16 races will be showcased, including the six symbols, which offer significant cash prizes that attract elite competitors.

Al-Maroom Auction: An Important Event for Camel Breeders

Alongside the competitions, the 13th Al-Maroom Auction “G” for personal production of weaned camels will take place, featuring 70 camels, amid great anticipation from owners and trainers. The auction is scheduled to run from March 29 to April 1, with the participation of 280 carefully selected camels from premium breeds in the world of purebred Arabian camels. This event contributes to enhancing the auction’s status as an important market in the region, as everyone looks forward to exploring distinguished breeds suitable for future races.
