This launch coincided with the first “Thraa Connect” forum held at the Thraa Centre for Entrepreneurship, attended by government leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and representatives from economic institutions and startups.

Sheikh Ammar emphasised that Ajman is committed to developing a comprehensive economic and investment environment that fosters innovation, supports entrepreneurship, and provides promising growth and expansion opportunities for investors and project owners. These efforts aim to enhance the competitiveness of the emirate and reinforce its position as an attractive destination for quality investments.

He further noted that the launch of the “Thraa” ecosystem for investment and entrepreneurship marks a significant step in advancing the business environment in Ajman. This integrated model connects government entities, investors, entrepreneurs, and startups, promoting synergies across various components of the economic framework. It aims to transform innovative ideas into successful projects and opens broader horizons for accessing funding, markets, and strategic partnerships.

Supporting Sustainable Economic Growth

The Crown Prince of Ajman highlighted the role of entrepreneurship as a primary driver of sustainable economic development. Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in diversifying income sources, creating new job opportunities, empowering talents, and increasing the private sector’s contribution to development. Therefore, Ajman is dedicated to providing an encouraging environment for innovators and entrepreneurs, allowing them to grow their projects from idea inception through to growth, expansion, and competitiveness in regional and global markets.

He affirmed that the integration of services provided by the “Thraa” ecosystem, along with the diverse solutions offered to startups and investors, enhances its responsiveness to business market requirements. It also fosters effective partnerships among various stakeholders, creating new investment opportunities and adding value to the local economy.

Sheikh Ammar expressed his aspiration for the new ecosystem to attract more quality projects and investments, enabling entrepreneurs to realise their ambitions and generate job opportunities that support the emirate’s economic and social development. This aligns with Ajman’s vision for a more diverse, flexible, and sustainable economic future, reinforcing the emirate’s status as a promising centre for investment, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Comprehensive and Integrated Services

The launch of the “Thraa” ecosystem aims to enhance the competitiveness of Ajman’s business environment, attract investment, and empower startups through a comprehensive economic model linking government bodies, investors, and entrepreneurs. This model provides practical solutions for starting businesses and accelerating their growth and expansion.

Eng. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber, stated that launching the “Thraa” ecosystem is a strategic step to enhance the competitiveness of the emirate’s economy and attract quality investments. It creates an integrated environment that supports innovation and entrepreneurship, reflecting the chamber’s objectives of diversifying the local economy and enabling the private sector to achieve sustainable growth.

His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Second Vice Chairman of the Ajman Chamber, noted that the ecosystem represents a qualitative leap in supporting entrepreneurs by connecting promising projects with investors and funding opportunities. The synergy of its services contributes to transforming ideas into successful projects while enhancing economic partnerships and the sustainability of company growth.

Maryam Khalifa Al Nuaimi, Chairwoman of the “Thraa” Investment and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, explained that the launch of the ecosystem ushers in a new phase of economic and investment integration. It gathers various elements of the business environment under one umbrella, linking founders with investors and strategic partners, while providing integrated solutions that support companies from inception through to market expansion.

Flexible Workspaces and Growth Opportunities

Marwan Harib Al Aryani, CEO of the group, outlined that the “Thraa” ecosystem offers a practical environment that combines flexible workspaces, operational services, project development programs, and opportunities for networking with investors. This arrangement assists founders in enhancing their operational efficiency and growth capacity.

Ahmad Khabir, CEO for Investment and Growth, highlighted that the ecosystem adopts an economic model that links investment, innovation, and entrepreneurship, transforming challenges and opportunities into value-added projects. This transformation occurs through capital attraction, partnership development, and the acceleration of company growth, bolstering the competitiveness of Ajman’s economy.

The “Thraa” ecosystem comprises six integrated companies: “Thraa Holding,” “Thraa Hub,” “Thraa X,” “Thraa Capital,” “Thraa Experience,” and “Thraa Foundation,” all aimed at providing specialised services that support the startup journey from establishment to growth and expansion.

Over the next five years, the ecosystem aims to achieve a cumulative added value of no less than AED 700 million for Ajman’s economy, facilitate the establishment, transition, or expansion of 100 companies within the emirate, and contribute to creating 3,135 direct job opportunities.

The forum also featured panel discussions addressing the role of government entities in supporting entrepreneurship, criteria for company investment readiness, and the experiences of founders in building and expanding their businesses. There were also remarks from Her Excellency Najla Ahmed Al Madfa, Deputy Chair of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Shurooq) and Deputy Chair of the UAE Growth Fund, regarding the development of entrepreneurship ecosystems.
