In a significant step towards enhancing the adoption of assisted artificial intelligence within Dubai’s private sector, the Dubai Digital Economy Chamber has signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. These agreements were established with “Nebious Academy,” the educational and training branch of Nebious, a major player in the cloud computing and AI sector, which boasts a market valuation exceeding $63 billion, and “Lovable,” a leading software development platform. The aim is to boost the implementation of assisted AI solutions, enhancing company productivity and operational efficiency.
Strategic Initiative for AI Adoption
These MoUs are part of the Dubai private sector’s larger programme aimed at transitioning towards assisted AI (Agentic AI), initiated by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, back in May. The Dubai Chambers is overseeing this initiative and has launched specialised training tracks to empower and train 14,000 member companies from various business groups and councils associated with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce on employing assisted AI technologies in their administrative and operational processes.
Enhancing Corporate Understanding of Assisted AI
Saeed Al Qarkawy, Vice President of the Dubai Digital Economy Chamber, stated, “We are committed to enhancing the understanding of private sector companies in Dubai regarding assisted AI technologies and their effective application, thereby supporting their digital ambitions and opening new avenues for growth. This collaboration is aimed at fostering a more innovative and agile business community, ready for the future by providing specialised knowledge and expertise and supporting start-ups in developing assisted AI solutions.”
Training Opportunities through Nebious Academy
The memorandum with Nebious Academy enables Dubai-based companies to benefit from specialised training programmes for leadership in AI and assisted AI, enhancing their expertise in these areas. This will be facilitated through the Dubai Chambers Academy, a comprehensive digital platform offering tailored AI training paths for the private sector, along with a diverse array of training programmes encompassing various fields.
According to Raja Agarwal, Regional Vice President of Nebious for the Middle East and Africa, “Through our collaboration with the Dubai Digital Economy Chamber, Nebious Academy will provide businesses in Dubai with practical knowledge that will enable them to transition from simply understanding assisted AI to actively implementing it in their daily operations.” The MoU with Nebious Academy also entails providing and licensing training content, issuing accredited certificates, and organising technical workshops and specialised sessions led by expert professionals, along with trainer preparation programmes and access to relevant learning platforms and resources for executives and technical teams of member companies.
Lovable’s Role in Accelerating AI Adoption
The MoU with Lovable focuses on expediting the adoption of assisted AI in Dubai’s private sector through capacity building and training initiatives. Under this agreement, Lovable will support entrepreneurship programmes and skills development tailored for firms and entrepreneurs in the emirate, providing access to its platform and educational resources and collaborating on organising joint events and workshops. Dubai Chambers will facilitate communication between Lovable and its member companies and partners.
As part of this collaboration, Lovable will provide credits for using its platform, funded by Dubai Chambers, for participants in the “Assisted AI Challenge,” assisting founders and companies in building and applying their assisted AI solutions.
Lauren Road, Chief Revenue Officer at Lovable, commented, “Assisted AI allows anyone with an idea to turn it into reality. We are excited to support more founders and companies in Dubai, equipping them with the necessary tools to launch their innovations and manage their businesses, starting with the teams participating in the Assisted AI Challenge.”
