معرض أبوظبي للصيد والفروسية يقدّم جناحاً تفاعلياً يربط الأطفال واليافعين بالتراث الإماراتي عبر أركان وتجارب وجواز تراثي لتعزيز الهوية
The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition serves as a vital cultural platform, linking younger generations to the rich Emirati heritage through immersive experiences. This event, aimed at educating children and youth about local environmental and cultural elements, fosters a deep-rooted understanding of the values associated with this heritage, ensuring its relevance and sustainability in their lives.
This year, for the second time, the National Academy for Childhood Development is participating in the exhibition with a larger, more integrated pavilion. This setup transforms traditional cultural knowledge into vibrant, interactive experiences where children, youth, and families can engage, learn, and interact. The pavilion is designed to seamlessly connect Emirati heritage with the interests and daily lives of the younger audience.
Hamza Abdul Salam Kazem, Executive Director of the Partnerships and Innovation Sector at the academy, stated that their participation aligns with their goals to support childhood, promote national identity, and preserve the Arabic language. He noted that the augmented pavilion offers an even richer interactive experience, taking visitors on a journey inspired by the environment and culture of the UAE. Various sections illustrate the desert, sea, oasis, and traditional crafts, allowing children and youth to discover different facets of Emirati identity in a fun and engaging way.
A Larger Space for Exploration
This year’s pavilion stands out with increased space and a carefully constructed design that guides visitors through a series of educational and interactive sections inspired by Emirati culture and heritage. These include the Desert Corner “Al-Arqoub”, the Sea Corner “Al-Dana”, the Oasis and Agriculture Corner “Al-Midan”, and the Traditional Crafts Corner “Al-Dakka”, along with the interactive area “Your Sciences”.
In “Al-Arqoub”, childrenlearn about falconry, equestrianism, and the Emirati spirit through dynamic activities and storytelling, instilling values of patience, focus, respect, and kindness to animals. “Al-Dana” offers sensory and artistic experiences rooted in the culture of pearl diving, emphasizing courage, teamwork, and environmental awareness.
In “Al-Midan”, children embark on an interactive journey through stations influenced by Emirati heritage, where they learn about horses, falcons, date palms, coffee pots, and tents. Meanwhile, “Al-Dakka” highlights traditional crafts and industries as vibrant components of living Emirati culture.
The Heritage Passport for Children
The children’s experience is further enhanced through the “Heritage Passport”, which connects the different exhibits and encourages them to complete activities and collect stamps. This initiative nurtures their sense of achievement and pride in their national identity. Additionally, the pavilion offers engaging experiences for young adults, linking heritage to their interests and daily lives. This approach promotes an innovative and responsible expression of their identity and culture, reinforcing their responsibility to represent their heritage positively in both the real world and digital spaces.
