Abu Dhabi University has announced that its MBA programme has received official accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA). This achievement marks a significant milestone, as the university’s School of Business becomes the first local business school in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) not affiliated with an international university to earn the prestigious “triple crown” status. This status is reserved for institutions that have received three prominent international academic accreditations: the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and AMBA.
Importance of the Achievement
The attainment of this “triple crown” enhances Abu Dhabi University’s global standing in business education, a distinction held by fewer than 1% of business schools worldwide, with only about 150 institutions achieving this accolade globally.

This accreditation adds to Abu Dhabi University’s distinguished record of global rankings. The university ranked first in the UAE and the Arab region for business and economics in the 2026 Times Higher Education subject rankings, while its MBA programme was listed among the top 151–200 programmes globally in the 2026 QS World University Rankings for MBA programmes.
