An Abu Dhabi Police delegation, together with the Integrated Transport Centre, took part in the World Congress on Transport Research and Road Safety (WCTR 2026) in France, in a move aimed at strengthening cooperation with strategic partners and reviewing the latest practices and scientific research in transport and road safety.
Focus on smart transport and road safety
The participation reflects Abu Dhabi Police’s commitment to keeping pace with global developments in smart transport and benefiting from international best practice, in support of efforts to advance police operations, improve road safety, and enhance the quality of services provided to the community.
Reviewing research and innovative solutions
During the conference, the delegation examined a range of scientific papers, publications and research presentations, as well as the latest studies related to road safety in the transport and traffic sector. It also reviewed evidence-based innovative solutions that can help shape future policies and initiatives, while strengthening the exchange of knowledge and expertise with academic, research and specialist institutions at the international level.
Building partnerships and supporting strategic goals
Abu Dhabi Police said participation in such international conferences provides an important opportunity to learn from leading global experiences, build effective partnerships and exchange expertise.
