Abu Dhabi Economic Authority Pursues Private Sector Collaborations

Abu Dhabi‘s Economic Department recently called upon the private sector to leverage the benefits of the “Partnership” platform, emphasizing its role in enhancing business operations and accelerating growth within the emirate. The initiative represents a crucial step toward fostering collaboration between governmental and private entities, ultimately aiming to transform Abu Dhabi into a preferred destination for talent, businesses, and investments.

In its ongoing efforts to support economic development, the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi has encouraged private companies and institutions operating in the emirate to take advantage of the benefits provided by the “Partnership” platform. Launched by the Abu Dhabi Executive Council in 2018, the platform was designed to improve communication mechanisms, promote transparent dialogue, and expedite the settlement of financial claims and dues owed to private sector companies by government entities. The establishment of the Partnership platform is part of Abu Dhabi’s governmental initiatives designed to bolster the emirate’s growth trajectory.

Since its inception, the Partnership platform has proven instrumental in accelerating the resolution of financial claims for private sector companies that have been pending with various governmental and semi-governmental organizations. As of the end of April this year, a total of 192 claims have been registered and approved on the platform, with 191 claims settled. This impressive figure accounts for approximately 99.5% of the total approved claims, amounting to more than 1.07 billion dirhams, while claims still under settlement total 59.9 million dirhams.

Driving Growth and Economic Diversification

Hamad Syaah Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi, remarked, “The private sector continues to play a fundamental role in the growth and diversification of Abu Dhabi’s economy, as evidenced by the strong growth rates of non-oil sectors, which contribute over 54% of the emirate’s GDP. Ongoing initiatives, advanced policies, and a supportive business ecosystem have significantly increased the attractiveness and competitiveness of Abu Dhabi’s economy. This is further highlighted by the new economic licenses, which have surged by 29% in 2025 and 21% in the first quarter of 2026.”

Al Mazrouei further emphasized the importance of continuous engagement with the private sector, fostering collaborative dialogues around market developments and global changes. This approach supports policy development and helps businesses navigate challenges while capitalizing on available opportunities in Abu Dhabi’s vibrant economy. He urged private firms and institutions to take full advantage of the features offered by the Partnership platform to expedite their financial claim settlements with government entities, thereby improving their cash flow and enabling sustained operational growth and contributions to Abu Dhabi’s economic and social development.

Enhancing Access Through Technology

The Partnership platform, accessible via the “TAM” Abu Dhabi Government Services Portal bolstered by artificial intelligence capabilities, offers a seamless and secure experience. Its strategic significance lies in promoting economic growth and diversification, wherein the private sector plays a vital and primary role in these initiatives. Through its user-friendly interface, companies can effectively manage their financial claims, ensuring that they can focus on their growth while actively participating in the emirate’s developmental endeavors.
