Abu Dhabi Civil Defense has launched the “Safety Patrol” initiative, a field project aimed at raising community awareness and enhancing the readiness of individuals and institutions to deal with risks and emergencies, in line with the goals of the Community Year. This initiative aims to achieve Abu Dhabi’s vision of promoting a culture of prevention and early warning, making it an important step towards protecting lives and property.
Integration in Preventive Efforts
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority has launched the “Safety Patrol” initiative as part of a broader vision aimed at developing community awareness. His Excellency Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoon Al-Muhairi, the Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, stated that this initiative reflects an effective model of integration between field awareness and preventive operations. It aligns with the Abu Dhabi Government’s vision of building a secure and aware community capable of facing challenges. In the context of this project, Brigadier Salem Abdullah Al-Dhaheri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, emphasized that the “Safety Patrol” represents a practical call to establish values of awareness and preparedness. The initiative aims to provide direct training, assess preventive performance, and encourage positivity among individuals. Implementation of Field Visits
Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Hamdan Hassan bin Dheeban, Project Manager of the “Safety Patrol,” explained that the initiative is based on conducting numerous field visits aimed at raising community awareness and assessing site readiness. Through these visits, the team will be able to provide essential information to individuals and ensure that locations are prepared to face any emergency.
