The initiative titled “Mohammed bin Zayed for Best Teacher” is dedicated to enhancing the role of educators through the newly launched program “Leaders of Educational Excellence.” This initiative seeks to empower award-winning teachers by providing them with the skills and tools necessary to lead educational transformation, thereby creating a positive impact on student learning experiences. By fostering strategic partnerships, the program aims to equip educators with global best practices, ultimately reinforcing their position as pivotal agents of change within the educational landscape.
Recently, the Mohammed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher launched a dynamic development program named “Leaders of Educational Excellence” in collaboration with the Emirates College for Educational Development. This initiative serves as a strategic partnership aimed at empowering a select group of award-winning teachers, enhancing their roles in leading educational change and making a lasting impact, all while being equipped with top-notch skills and the finest educational practices known worldwide.
As part of this initiative, a delegation of teachers from various participating countries visited the UAE, where a comprehensive training program commenced in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. This intensive program was designed to bridge academic preparation with an interactive cultural experience, enhancing the professional and personal development of the participants.
The Secretary-General of the Mohammed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher, Dr. Hamad Ahmad Al-Durmaky, emphasized that the program embodies a real translation of the wise leadership’s vision for developing the education sector. He noted, “This initiative strengthens the culture of excellence and creativity in the educational field, adopting a comprehensive approach aimed at solidifying the teacher’s status and empowering them to be at the center of positive change.”
Dr. Al-Durmaky further explained that the program endeavors to qualify teachers and develop their skills and knowledge to become pioneers in transformational leadership.
