Winners of Ninth Arab Reading Challenge to Be Announced

The UAE will celebrate tomorrow the crowning of the champions of the ninth edition of the “Arab Reading Challenge,” gathering participating students, educational leaders, and their families at a grand event in the Dubai World Trade Centre. The Arab Reading Challenge aims to promote a culture of reading in the Arab world, and this edition has seen a record participation of students, reflecting the positive impact of this educational initiative.

A Grand Celebration in Dubai

Tomorrow, the Arab Reading Challenge will hold a massive celebration to honor the winning champions of the ninth edition. Minister of Education Sarah bint Youssef Al Amiri will be present alongside several officials to recognize those who have achieved remarkable accomplishments in this challenge, which involved 810,838 students from across the UAE.

Global Participation and Notable Wins

It is worth noting that the Arab Reading Challenge in its ninth edition witnessed record participation, with a total of 32,231,000 students from 50 countries, highlighting the initiative’s impact. This cultural competition represents 132,112 schools under the supervision of 161,004 supervisors, showcasing the commitment of educational entities to promote reading in the Arab world.

Honoring the Outstanding

During the celebration, in addition to announcing the national champion, there will be honors for the first winner in the category of people of determination, the title of “Outstanding Supervisor,” and the school awarded the title of “Outstanding School.” In the eighth edition, Ahmed Faisal Ali from Dubai was crowned the champion, while Asem Abbara from Abu Dhabi received the title of Outstanding Supervisor.

Goals and Aspirations of the Initiative

The Arab Reading Challenge, launched in the 2015-2016 academic year under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to spread a culture of reading and enhance creative thinking among students. The initiative also seeks to build a bright future by empowering upcoming generations and increasing their knowledge of various cultures, thereby promoting the principles of tolerance and coexistence.
