The UAE’s PropTech sector is poised for remarkable growth, projected to reach AED 5.69 billion ($1.55 billion) by 2030. This anticipated expansion, moving up from AED 2.24 billion in 2024, highlights a compound annual growth rate of 17.49%. As digitalization becomes increasingly intertwined with the real estate landscape, various technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and immersive tools are transforming how properties are developed, managed, and marketed.
The growth trajectory of the UAE PropTech sector reflects a broader trend towards integrating cutting-edge technologies aimed at enhancing efficiency, transparency, and client engagement within the real estate industry. Innovations encompassing artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and immersive experiences like virtual and augmented reality are making significant inroads, fundamentally altering development, management, transactions, and investment paradigms.
In the construction arena, technologies such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are revolutionizing the design and development processes. These tools not only enhance design accuracy but also facilitate faster collaboration and minimize errors, which is crucial for the success of large-scale projects. Companies are increasingly leveraging these technologies to ensure smoother project execution and higher quality outcomes.
One notable entrant to the UAE market is Australian firm Lifesize Plans, which launched operations in 2023. They utilize life-sized architectural projections at a 1:1 scale during the pre-construction phase, aiding critical decision-making. Georges Calas, CEO of Lifesize Plans, remarked, “From immersive virtual reality and augmented reality walkthroughs to AI-driven analytics, these new technologies are redefining how real estate is bought, sold, and built in the UAE.”
UAE Leads PropTech Innovation in MENA
As of 2025, the UAE has established itself as the fastest-growing PropTech hub in the Middle East and North Africa region, boasting 189 companies in the sector—almost three times the figure from two years prior. Data shows that Dubai launched a dedicated PropTech hub in July, aimed at supporting over 200 startups and attracting more than $300 million in investments. This initiative is expected to generate around 3,000 jobs by 2030.
Globally, the PropTech sector is on an upward trajectory as well, valued at $47.08 billion in 2025 and projected to soar to $179.03 billion by 2034. With a compound annual growth rate of 16%, this growth is fueled by the digitization of real estate operations and a rising demand for smart buildings, underscored by the adoption of AI, IoT, blockchain, and cloud-based platforms.
Calas emphasized the unique position the UAE holds in the PropTech landscape, stating, “As the country continues to push the boundaries of innovation and prove to be one of the top investment options for expatriates from all over the world, PropTech is quickly becoming a cornerstone of the market’s long-term resilience and global competitiveness.”
Government initiatives promoting smart and sustainable urban development, coupled with robust investor interest, are set to propel the UAE PropTech sector further. Emerging innovations, including AI-driven property platforms, IoT-enabled energy management systems, and blockchain-based property title registrations, are key components of this anticipated expansion. As the landscape evolves, the aim is to solidify the UAE’s status as a leader in the PropTech arena, paving the way for sustained growth and unmatched innovation in the real estate industry.
