The “Brave Knight 3” team is continuing the implementation of the “Lifeline” project to supply water to southern Gaza, a vital initiative aimed at improving water conditions in affected areas. In collaboration with relevant authorities, this project ensures the necessary support for local residents amid increasing humanitarian crises.
Site Inspection of the Project
The “Brave Knight 3” operation team recently conducted a site inspection for the “Lifeline” project in cooperation with the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility in Gaza. This collaboration aims to provide sustainable water lines to the southern regions of the Gaza Strip as part of the major humanitarian relief projects implemented by the United Arab Emirates to support the Palestinian people in the area.
Importance of the Project
The “Lifeline” project is considered one of the most significant initiatives addressing the growing needs of displaced persons and local residents, particularly in light of the challenging humanitarian conditions resulting from the ongoing conflict. The project contributes to providing clean and safe water supplies, which helps alleviate the health and humanitarian burdens faced by residents, especially amid resource shortages and rising temperatures.
Project Implementation Details
The new water line extends seven kilometers, starting from the UAE desalination stations on the Egyptian side of Rafah and reaching the Mawasi area in southern Gaza, one of the most densely populated regions of displaced persons. Approximately 600,000 citizens are expected to benefit from this project, including a significant number of children, women, and the elderly.
Ongoing Coordination and Monitoring
The “Lifeline” project is being implemented under the supervision of Emirati teams, with technical field collaboration from the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility to ensure that technical standards and local needs are met. The executing technical teams have confirmed that the pace of work is accelerating and that all implementation activities are proceeding according to the established timeline.
This project reflects the UAE’s commitment to providing sustainable and effective humanitarian support to the Gaza Strip, especially in the context of the difficult conditions faced by the area due to ongoing challenges. The “Lifeline” project is expected to help alleviate the daily suffering of many families and serve as a model for regional and international cooperation in addressing humanitarian crises.
