Dubai’s Coffee Scene Levels Up with Julith: A New Homegrown Brew Lounge, Roastery, Omakase & Social Hub

Just when you thought Dubai’s coffee game couldn’t get any stronger, Julith arrives as a groundbreaking coffee hub in Al Quoz, set to open its doors on Friday, August 1, 2025. This isn’t just another café; Julith seamlessly blends the roles of a roastery, brew lounge, concept store, and social hub into a beautifully designed, light-filled duplex, destined to become your new favorite destination for coffee enthusiasts and casual sippers alike.

The Vision

Crafted for dedicated coffee lovers and creative communities, Julith emphasizes slow, intentional experiences, guiding patrons from the bean’s origin to that first perfect sip. The name “Julith” is derived from the phrase “just like this,” capturing the essence of its authentic approach to coffee and community. Under the guidance of Turkish Barista Champion Serkan Sagsoz, every batch of coffee is roasted in-house, utilizing rare beans sourced from high-altitude farms and volcanic microclimates worldwide. It transcends mere consumption; it’s a full sensory experience. “Julith was born from a desire to create something more than a café,” Sagsoz shares. “We wanted to build a space where coffee is experienced, not just consumed.”

What’s Brewing?

Within Julith, three main coffee stations await enthusiasts:

  • Espresso Bar: serving a rich, chocolate-forward house blend alongside two rotating single origins, ground with precise weights by three S65 grinders.

  • Slow Brew Bar: here’s where things become more intricate, featuring V60 pour-overs and the chance to upgrade to rare, aged beans (some matured for up to a year).

  • Rotovap Milk Programme: an innovative technique that removes water from milk, producing an ultra-creamy, naturally sweet finish, available with plant-based and lactose-free alternatives.

More Than Coffee

For those who prefer wellness beverages or refreshing flavors, Julith offers a standout menu featuring items like Matcha Colada, Blue Matcha Latte, Tonka Fizz, Sumac Lemonade, and Banana Protein Shake.

Feeling peckish? The all-day dining menu breaks the mold, balancing comfort food with elevated flavors. Notable dishes include the Julith Benedict, beetroot on toast, and the indulgent A5 sliced burger.

Enhancing the tranquil ambiance, a unique word clock adorns the wall instead of a traditional ticking clock, a thoughtful design choice by the owner aimed at alleviating the pressure of time and contributing to a peaceful, present, and unhurried atmosphere.

The Space

Spanning two floors, Julith boasts a modern design featuring pale wood, steel, and concrete, complemented by soft touches like navy textiles and lush foliage. The ground floor showcases a glass-walled roastery, an inviting open coffee bar, and a quirky split-flap display that showcases uplifting affirmations.

Upstairs, the experience elevates further. Here, a blossoming cherry blossom tree, cozy seating nooks, and three soundproof private rooms are available for meetings, creative sessions, or quiet solitary work—making it easy to spend the entire day within this inspiring haven. Additionally, the space will soon feature Julith’s Omakase Room, offering an intimate setting for curated coffee tastings led by Serkan himself.

Lifestyle Meets Coffee Culture

The concept store at Julith flows seamlessly from the main lounge, displaying a rotating collection of ceramics, coffee tools, and lifestyle items—all crafted or inspired by local Dubai creatives. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a slow brew, indulge in a meal, pick up a unique gift, and leave feeling inspired. Even the sleek blue Tesla parked outside fits the vibe—intentional, modern, and just a touch futuristic.
