UAE Non-Oil Trade Surges to 1.7 Trillion Dirhams

The UAE’s non-oil foreign trade is one of the most significant economic indicators reflecting the strength and stability of the national economy. In the first half of the year, this trade achieved remarkable growth of 24%, reaching 1.7 trillion dirhams. This achievement comes at a time when global economic challenges are increasing, highlighting the UAE’s ability to enhance its international trade partnerships and expand its growth horizons.

Growth of Non-Oil Foreign Trade

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, confirmed that the UAE’s non-oil foreign trade reached 1.7 trillion dirhams during the first half of the year. His Highness noted that this growth of 24% compared to the same period last year demonstrates the resilience and capability of the UAE economy to face challenges. He added on his account on the platform “X”: “Thank God, the UAE’s non-oil foreign trade has achieved significant growth.”

Figures Reflect International Relations

His Highness emphasized that the figures also reflect the depth of the UAE’s economic relationships with various countries around the world. Non-oil trade with Switzerland saw a record increase of 120%, with India 33%, with Turkey 41%, with the United States 29%, and with China 15%. These percentages indicate the progress the nation has made in enhancing its trade relations with different international partners.

Future Emirati Vision

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid stated, “The figures speak of our economic relationships with the world. The figures indicate unprecedented development for the UAE.” This statement reflects the leadership’s vision of enhancing communication and trade cooperation with international partners, reinforcing optimism about the future of economic growth and development. He praised the role played by his brother Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, affirming that the figures “indicate that what lies ahead is more beautiful and greater, God willing.”

With this remarkable growth in the UAE’s non-oil foreign trade, the country continues to strengthen its position as a global trade hub, opening the door to new and diverse economic opportunities. This success is not only a result of government efforts but also represents the commitment of all sectors in the UAE to create an attractive and thriving investment environment.
